Send it Surrey 2025 takes place at the Camelot Events site:

Camelot Events Ltd, Henfold Lakes, Dorking, Surrey. RH5 4RW

The easiest way to get to the site, and the adjacent Henfold Lakes campsite (if you’re staying there), is by car.

When coming to the venue, keep your eyes peeled for signs for Henfold Lake Fisheries.

There are wildlife and children moving throughout the campsite, please stick to 5 miles per hour while driving through the site.

Follow the track past the lakes and through the campsite. You will see the Camelot Events sign on our gate, follow the track to the left here and this will bring you straight in to the heart of Camelot Events.

The number 93 - Horsham - Dorking | Metrobus and the number 21 - Crawley - Epsom | Metrobus buses come to within about a mile of the event site, but we wouldn’t recommend Onewheeling from the bus stops as this may be dangerous down the narrow country lanes.

Dorking is the closest mainline train station and is about a 10 minute taxi ride away. There is a smaller station called Holmwood only a few miles away, but again, we wouldn’t recommend Onewheeling from here down country lanes.

If you’re stuck at a nearby station or bus stop please use the event Whatsapp group to arrange for another attendee to pick you up, this is likely to be possible at most times.

Gatwick Airport is only a 15 minute taxi ride away. We may also arrange some group pick-ups from Gatwick Airport, so please let us know if you require this.

Gatwick is also the closest National Express coach stop.

Heathrow Airport is a 45 minute taxi ride away, this would likely cost just below £100.

If you’re planning to get a taxi to an airport it’s recommended that you book your return journey in advance.

Food & Drink

There’ll be a selection of on-site food and drinks vendors available at most times throughout the weekend.

If you fancy something different you can also order food for delivery from Just Eat of Uber Eats.

The local general store, Bob’s Shop, is only about a mile/3 minutes drive away, they sell freshly made baguettes and an excellent selection of premade food and drink, as well as all manner of other things.

Registration

Please bring a digital or paper copy of your ticket confirmation email, we’ll check it and then give you your event goodie bag.

Inside your goodie bag amongst other items you’ll find a wristband that we need you to wear for the entire event, the fastener on this doesn’t re-open so don’t do it up too tight!

At registration you’ll also be required to fill in a risk acknowledgement waiver, please read this carefully, complete the details, sign it and return it to the registration team.

Forest/4x racers, after completing Event Registration will need to go to the race tent between 8am and 8:45 on the Friday morning to collect your race numbers and timing chip.

Charging & Board Storage

We’ll have an undercover charging tent in the event village which can take up to 20 boards. Offering 13amp sockets that can take UK and EU plugs.  Please bring your own charger though.

Forest/4x Race

The Forest/4x race will be split over Friday and Saturday

Racer’s MUST wear a helmet and wrist guards as a minimum, your equipment will be checked at the start and if you’re not wearing the required gear you will not be permitted to start.

Qualifying

On Friday racers will need to attend race registration between 8am and 8:45 where you’ll confirm your board type, name, category as well as collect your race number and timing chip.

At 9am racers will meet our guides at the course start to slowly ride you through the course so you can get an overview of what you’ll be riding.  You’ll be split into groups for this and will be riding at a very slow pace, you MUST NOT overtake your guide and remain with your group the whole time.

After this Course Inspection you’ll be able to practice before doing your qualifying runs.

Finals

The top 16 (or smaller multiple of 4) will qualify for the head-to-head finals on the Saturday.  Each heat will be seeded according to you qualification time and the first and second place riders will progress to the next round.

It’s extremely important that if you come in first or second you immediately go back to the start of the course and compete in the next round.  If you fail to attend the start of the course within reasonable time of your last race you will not be permitted to start and therefore forfeit your place in the competition. We will allow ample time for you to present yourself.

Flight fins flying comp

This will take place on Friday evening in the Event Village.  It’s open to all and will feature riders hitting a jump ramp and trying to get as high as they can over a high jump style rail.  FlightFins are not required for this but any form of lifter may help you.  Sponsored by Flight Fins.

Freestyle Comp

The Freestyle competition will take place on Sunday afternoon in the event village.

Chair Race

We’re going to see how stable you are riding your chair!  We’ll have a race for all chair riders, it doesn’t even have to be a chair, off you’ve got a hobby horse, crate or drinks cooler like the OG chair rider Chris Tullio then that’s all good too.

Social Rides

We’ve got a couple of local social rides starting and finishing at the event village.
